Dr. Emmanuel Kwaku Annan (Chairman) – Dr. Annan is an Electrical Engineer, a lecturer by Profession and currently the Managing Director of Nexans KabelMetal Ghana Limited in Tema. He attended the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, and the University of Oklahoma in the USA where he graduated with a PhD in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Annan has lectured in various universities in Ghana, the United States of America and Rwanda. 

As part of his industrial experience, Dr. Annan worked with VALCO-Tema, Nelson Joyce and Gray- Oklahoma USA, Oklahoma Gas and Electric- Oklahoma City, USA and Ghana Veneer Processing Company-Kumasi. 

He has also consulted for government and industry in the maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation of factories, installation of heavy machinery and other electrical services. Some of the organisations include VALCO, VRA, ECG, Bank of Ghana, Timber Industries and KNUST.

Dr. Annan is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE) and served as a member of the Bui Dam Committee for the selection of a project developer and Chairman of the Electricity Sub-Committee of the Energy Commission.

Mr. Samuel Kwadwo Sarpong (Executive Secretary)- Mr. Sarpong is an Electrical Engineer by Profession and holds a Master of Business Administration Degree. Until his appointment as Executive Secretary, he served as a Commissioner and the Vice Chairman of the Technical Committee (TC) of the Commission for over three (3) years.

During his tenure as Vice Chairman of the TC, Mr. Sarpong demonstrated high appreciation of tariff setting and quality of service standards and performance monitoring which are some of the key functions of the Commission.  He has an in-depth understanding of management of the Public Utilities that fall under the jurisdiction of the Commission.

He has worked in various capacities both in the public and private sectors as a Management Consultant.

Dr. Yaw Adu-Agyei Gyamfi (Chairperson, Finance & Administration Committee) – Dr. Adu Gyamfi has BSc. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Clark College in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He also holds a doctorate degree in Pharmacy from Mercer University in Atlanta Georgia, USA and an Executive MBA from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA, Ghana. He is currently the CEO of Danpong Group of Companies and Danadams Pharmaceutical Industry Ltd.
Mr. David Kwadzo Ametefe (Chairperson, Legal, Complaints & Dispute Committee) - Mr. Ametefe is a private legal practitioner at SIMA Consultancy with specialisation in litigation and consulting. He was called to the bar as a Barrister and a Solicitor of Supreme Court of Ghana in October 5, 2007. Mr. Ametefe is a part-time Business Law Lecturer at University of Professional Studies (UPS) Accra.

Ing. Stephen Akuoko (Chairperson, Technical Committee) - Mr. Akuoko holds a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Between 1969 and 2006, he rose through the ranks at Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) from an Assistant Engineer through Director of Engineering and finally Managing Director. During this period he spearheaded the modernization of the ECG’s operations through the application of ICT programmes such as the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system in Accra among others. He later worked as a Director of OSAKA Energy Consult. He is currently the Managing Director of HADICAS International Company Ltd. and a Partner of OSAKA Energy Consult in Ghana.

Major Albert Don-Chebe (Rtd.)(Chairperson, Stakeholder Management & Communication Committee) - Major Don-Chebe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ghana, a Master’s Degree in English from the University of Manchester, UK and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Affairs from the Defense Information School, Indiana, USA. He is a lawyer and was called to the Bar in 2003.

Major Don-Chebe has had a varied career serving in various institutions including the University of Ghana as a lecturer in English, the Ghana Armed Forces in the Directorate of Public Relations, the Ghana Breweries Ltd as the Corporate Affairs Manager, the Ministry of Public Sector Reforms as a Communications Consultant, Ghana Telecom/ Vodafone Ghana
as Head of Corporate Communications and Customer Care and the Millennium Development Authority as Director, Community and Public Outreach. Until his appointment as Director General of GBC, he was the Director, Corporate Planning and Communication at the Export Development and Agricultural Investment Fund (EDAIF).

Major Don-Chebe is the current President of the Institute of Public Relations, Ghana and a Member of the Ghana Bar Association.

Dr. Ferdinand D. Tay (Chairperson, ARIC) - Dr. Tay holds a Doctorate Degree in Development Economics from Ruhr University Germany and a Certificate in University Didactics and Development from the German Institute for Tropical Agriculture, University of Kassel, Germany.

He worked as an Acting Director General and a Director for Economic Policy and Development Policy Divisions of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC). He has also served on several National Committees and Governing Boards of key national Agencies like Ghana Trust Board, the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute (STEPRI) of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), and the Ghana Cocoa Board.

He is currently serving as President of the Consumers Association of Ghana (CAG).

Mr. Samuel L. Adetola (Member)-Mr. Adetola holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Administration from the School of Administration, University of Ghana, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science – UK and a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from the University College of North Wales – UK.

He held Senior Management and Executive Positions in Standard Chartered Bank and CAL Bank. Mr. Adetola also held directorship positions with Ghana Leasing Company, Securities Discount Company and the Ghana Stock Exchange. He is currently the Chairman of Imaging Technologies Ltd, Chairman of Midland NCP and Director of Kasapreko, the Capital Group, Capital Factors & Debt Management Services and Jampur Group Ghana Ltd.  He is also the President of the Ghana Malaysia Business Club and Vice Chairman of the Affiliates Group of The Ghana Chamber of Mines.

Mr. Daniel Owusu-Koranteng (Member)-Mr. Owusu-Koranteng has an M.A in Human Resource Development from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), a BSc in Agriculture from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a Diploma in Farm Management and Agricultural Extensions from KNUST. He also has Certificates in General Agriculture and Education.

Mr. Owusu-Koranteng worked as District Agriculture Economist and a Coordinator for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in the Wassa West District.
He is currently the General Secretary of the Maritime and Dockworker’s Union and the Executive Director of WACAM.
