Mrs. Nancy Atiemo is a lawyer by profession. She holds an LLM in Energy Law and Policy (University of Dundee, Scotland) and an LLB from the University of Ghana. She was called to the Ghana Bar in 1995. She has also undertaken professional courses on Public Private Policies and Strategies, Contract Compliance and Performance Monitoring at the Institute for Public-Private Partnership (IP3), Legislative Drafting at RIPA International (UK), and Utility Regulation at the University of Florida.

Prior to joining the Commission, Mrs. Atiemo worked as a Senior Associate at the Ghartey & Ghartey Law Firm and as a Solicitor at Lynnes, Quarshie-Idun and Co. Prior to her appointment as the Director for Legal Services in October 2010, she worked as a Legal Manager and Acting Legal Director between 2000 and 2009.

She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and the International Federation of Women Lawyers, Ghana (FIDA).
